| The "Kaweah
Research Center" is a ministry of The church at
Kaweah.
Located in the main house of the former boys ranch dining room, main
dormitory, and office. The research center contains over 15,000
books. The Kaweah Research Center specializes in four subjects; Law, History of the United States, Theology, and Political Science. In the law section, federal, state, criminal, ecclesiastical, common law, as well as many other aspects of the law are available for independent study and research. The history room contains a vast array of information from U.S. History, to biographies of selected famous people, to alternative medicine, to the art of war. A popular section of those who visit is the "How to section." On the "How to" shelves you can find anything from how to grow your own food, to how to build your own home using alternative building materials. The "History Room" also houses a growing section of political science books. The theology department shares space with conference tables, an extensive encyclopedia section that would impress the most casual observer, and a computer station with a recently installed computer. In the near future we hope to have the books on file for quick "look-up." Vicegerent Radio FM 93.3 The voice of Kaweah Commonwealth is broadcasted from the Kaweah Research Center. The Kaweah Research Center is not open via regular hours as the books have not been card catalogued. Those who wish to study at the research center simply call one of the pastors at The church at Kaweah for an appointment. |
